About me... In my marriage and family therapy practice, I provide high quality counseling, in a peaceful private setting, with deep personal respect for my clients and their loved ones. In private practice I focus on improving marriage, couple, and family relationships. I see individuals, couples, and families. In addition to private practice, I've also worked in various counseling programs and as the program director for a research and treatment program. I continue to provide training and clinical supervision to intern therapists at local agencies. |
My training and experience as a licensed Marriage Family Therapist include an undergraduate degree in psychology, a master's degree in clinical psychology, 3000 hours (about 3 years) practicum prior to licensure, and then passing two state licensing exams. Continuing education is then required to keep the LMFT license active.
I have additional education in coaching, couple's therapy, addiction, and a certificate in plant based nutrition. Special areas of professional interest are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), nutrition and mood, lifestyle change, change theory, and client centered approaches to treatment.
I am a member of the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (CAMFT), and of the American Association for Marriage Family Therapists (AAMFT).
